About the treatment
The aquarelle (watercolour) technique is lip micropigmentation for those who would like a soft tint, a richer tone or a more defined shape. The result is almost indistinguishable from your natural colour, which is why these are also called contourless lips. An ombré effect can be added if you wish – a more defined lip line fading lighter towards the centre.
How it works
- The shape is mapped with a special device that measures your individual facial proportions.
- The treatment takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on its complexity.
- A touch-up follows one month later.
What to expect
Straight after the treatment the colour is quite intense and the lips are slightly swollen; the swelling goes down within a few hours. Once the skin has healed, the colour softens by around 30%. The end result is lips with a fresh, natural-looking colour.
A consultation comes first, where we discuss contraindications such as pregnancy and breastfeeding, cold sores or any other active inflammation around the lips.
